and the impact on real people’s lives.

About the film

Touching the Sky is a heartwarming and visually captivating documentary that celebrates the power of trust, play, and human connection through the world of acroyoga.

At the center is Chris Jeckel, who began losing his sight as a child. When the world started to do dark, Acro gave him something unexpected—a way to feel seen, supported, and free.

But Chris is not alone. This film weaves together the lives of diverse Acro practitioners from around the world, revealing how this unconventional practice transforms people—physically, emotionally, and socially.

You don’t need to be a yogi, acrobat, or athlete to feel the impact. This is a film for anyone looking to reconnect—with themselves, with others, and with the joy they may have left behind.

Filmmakers Tim and Andrea Hedberg, alongside Chris, and a talented team of artists and volunteers, guide us through powerful and unexpected stories of healing, resilience, and joy. Through breathtaking visuals and raw, human moments, Touching the Sky invites viewers into a vibrant global community where people quite literally lift each other up.

This isn't just a story about Acro. It’s about what becomes possible when we choose trust and let go of fear.
